Abstract—This paper gives a general overview of push-belt CVT emphasizing on the concepts of ratio, slip and the rate of ratio change control. Accurate control of the CVT transmission is essential to achieve the intended fuel economy, ensure a good drivability and moreover maximize the efficiency of CVT.
