Abstract—The design of the marine methanol fuel supply system is a crucial aspect for the application of methanol-powered ships. It requires a systematic planning of the entire process of methanol storage, transportation, pressurization, heating, filtration, and safe injection into the engine. This thesis will describe and compare different design routes of the marine methanol supply system from various aspects such as system functionality, complexity, and economy, in order to provide different design ideas and development direction analyses for coping with the trend of fuel diversification and the application of methanol fuel in the ship industry.
