Abstract—This article is devoted to introducing a new algorithm for face detection. This method is based on using an algorithm for skin color, and template matching. First, we determined the skin points by considering the standard skin colors. This considering rejects many parts from either the pictures or video images. Then, using the template matching the different parts is combined, and many errors due to the mismatch of the first algorithm, and some noises are reduced vitally. Our simulation results indicate that both positive and negative errors have insignificant.
