Development Intelligent Web-based Learning System Using Object-Oriented Approach for Improving Students Innovative Thinking

Safaa S. Mahmoud

Abstract—With the development of Internet technology, the study of theories and methods in the development of distance learning system is being increased. A Web-based learning system can be considered as a client-server system which gives and receives education between the teachers and the students through the Internet and WWW. The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is now widely used for modeling a software at different stages during its development: requirement analysis, design and implementation. This Paper shows how object-oriented techniques and UML can be used in modeling and development of an intelligent web-based learning system. The use of e-courses is not limited to mere translation of the content and means of further extension, but contains educational materials, methods and delivery systems to reach the best use of means, including the need to provide an integrated educational environment that allows the learner to exercise through learning activities, so the interest of researcher to define how they apply the strategies to Internet education, and set up an intelligent e-courses management architecture can be used when building e-courses online. The researcher develop a general framework to achieve the proposed intelligent architecture  for e-courses management, (24) are Internet tools that can be achieved through such activities and educational strategies This is in addition to the identification of (8) patterns of interaction within the educational site, was as follows: Learner-Learner Interactive, Learner-Instructor Interactive, Instructor-Learner Interactive, Learner-Content Interactive, Instructor-Content Interactive, Learner-Self Interactive, Learner-Interface Interactive, Learner-Tools Interactive.

Index Terms—Web-based Learning System, Object-Orientation, UML, e-course architecture.
